What is National Master Chess?
National Master Chess (NMC) is a prestigious title awarded to accomplished chess players by the United States Chess Federation (USCF). It is the fourth highest title in the USCF ranking system, with only International Master, Grandmaster, and Senior Master ranking above it. To achieve the title of National Master, a player must obtain a USCF rating of at least 2200 based on their performance in tournament games against other rated players. The title not only recognizes a player´s chess skills, but also their dedication and hard work in mastering the game.
Requirements for Achieving National Master Title
